The Trimble GEDO GX50 is a modern and flexible laser scanning system solution designed for use with Trimble GEDO railway measurement systems. This system enables fast and accurate acquisition of high-resolution 3D data, essential for clearance analysis and infrastructure data collection.

Key Features:

• Configuration Options:
  Available in single-head configuration with one scanner or dual-head configuration with two scanners. Using two scanners increases point density, speeds up measurements, and reduces shadowing. The modular system allows for the addition of a second scanner later, depending on project requirements.

• Scanner Positioning:
  Depending on application needs, scanners can be mounted in various positions and angles. Positioning the scanner perpendicular to the track axis ensures optimal accuracy for high-precision clearance analysis. In the "butterfly" configuration, objects perpendicular to the track become clearly visible.

• Integration with GEDO Systems:
  The GEDO GX50 can be combined with Trimble GEDO CE 2.0 track measurement trolleys, creating various GEDO system configurations:

  • Base Configuration – Trimble GEDO Scan: Captures relative or pseudo-absolute processed point clouds.
  • Trimble GEDO Rec-Scan Configuration: Determines the absolute track position using total stations or GNSS receivers, which is also used for absolute referencing of the point cloud.
